Calesta "Callie" Day is from Atlanta, Georgia.  Although she's a classically trained opera singer who sings other genres, Callie is an educator, artist, vocalist, and voice instructor.  She is a multi-talented and gifted woman of God with a range of vocal abilities.  Her anointed style, production, and spiritual perception have made her one of the most dynamic and compelling talents.  Callie also wears many hats: a soloist/performer with the American Spiritual Ensemble.  Her vocal rendition of Moses Hogan's "Hear My Prayer" has taken the internet by storm and has made Callie an internet phenomenon.  Mrs. Day's music is currently available on all digital networks and has placed her #9 and #24 on Billboard Magazine's Gospel and Classical music charts.

Mrs. Day holds an Associate of Arts in Voice Performance from Sinclair Community College, a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Bowling Green State University, Master of Arts degree in Education with a Music Concentration from the University of Dayton.  A current candidate for the Master of Fine Arts and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Voice Performance at the University of Kentucky under the supervision of Dr. Everett McCorvey.  Callie has performed with Opera companies throughout the United States, Europe, and Central America.

Callie made her professional operatic debut with the Opera National de Paris in "PLAY," Choreographed by Alexander Ekman. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mrs. Day will be returning in the 2021 season. Since the pandemic outbreak of Covid-19, Callie recently released a new music video project titled "In Trouble."  The artistic team for Callie's latest project is Ms. Monica Hodnett and Ms. Theresa Metzger.  In 2021, Mrs. Day will resume working on her 2nd album and other music projects once the pandemic is under control. Stay Tuned.
